30 days, no questions asked.

The guarantee

If Aftermark is not what you wanted, tell us within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to justify it, and we will not argue with you about it.

We would genuinely rather refund you than have you keep software you do not use. Ask by email from the address you bought with, and include your order or receipt number if you have it.

Who processes it

Purchases are handled by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and seller for the transaction. Paddle appears on your card or bank statement, and refunds are issued by Paddle back to the original payment method. Money usually reaches you within a few business days once the refund is approved, though the exact timing is your bank's, not ours.

You can ask us or you can ask Paddle. If you ask us, we will pass it straight to Paddle.

Your legal rights are on top of this, not instead of it

Depending on where you live, you may have a statutory right to cancel a purchase of digital content — for example a 14-day right of withdrawal in the UK, EU and several other countries. Nothing on this page limits those rights. Where a legal right gives you more than our 30-day guarantee, the legal right applies.

Things worth knowing before you buy

These are on the pricing page too, because we would rather you knew now than found out later and wanted a refund for it:

• Aftermark runs on your own Windows computer. There is no hosted version and no mobile app.
• The optional Charles Schwab connection requires you to register your own developer application with Schwab, and Schwab expires that connection every 7 days, so it needs a brief weekly re-sign-in.
• Aftermark ships with no market data. Live quotes and news need your own API key from a provider you sign up with separately.
• Aftermark does not detect wash sales and is not tax software.

Chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, please email us first. A refund is faster for you than a chargeback and it costs us less, so there is no reason for either of us to prefer the other route.
